Formula 1’s Latest Rumours, Talk: Red Bull’s Canopy Concept, Jenson Button, More

Formula One caught a glimpse of the future during pre-season testing in March, when Ferrari became the first team to trial the "halo" head-protection concept with Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel. Despite the good intentions behind the test, the device received a mixed reaction, with plenty—including a certain three-time world champion—questioning the aesthetic appeal of the halo (or lack of it). In the meantime, Red Bull have been busy pioneering their own solution to motor racing's biggest problem and could debut their own canopy concept at next weekend's Russian Grand Prix, with the FIA backing the four-time world champions' efforts. NASCAR at Richmond 2016: Preview, Prediction for the Toyota Owners 400

The short-track circuit comes to a close Sunday as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series roars into Richmond for the Toyota Owners 400. It’ll be three-quarters of a mile done 400 times for this field, and defending winner Kurt Busch will attempt a repeat and stamp his passport to the Chase. Busch led 291 laps in a dominating performance in last year’s spring race. "It's a total team effort,” Busch said after the race in 2015. “And the way that everything came together, it just seemed like we were building, building and building towards a great finish like this.” Busch has been steady as they come in 2016, but can he overcome the sizzling-hot Joe Gibbs cars? Can he beat his own brother? It’s anybody’s guess, ...

5 of the Most Interesting Radio Messages from 2016 Chinese Grand Prix

Sebastian Vettel recovered from a poor start to finish second in Sunday's Chinese Grand Prix, but the four-time world champion wasn't entirely happy after claiming his second podium of the 2016 Formula One season. In his efforts to avoid hitting Daniil Kvyat at Turn 1, Vettel had accidentally collided with Kimi Raikkonen's rear-right tyre, leaving his Ferrari team-mate limping at the rear of the field. Even as he made progress through the field, the first-lap collision played on a loop in Vettel's mind, with the German criticising Kvyat's driving on three separate occasions over team radio during the 56-lap race. With a look at Kvyat's own heated rant, the tyre strategies that left Lewis Hamilton and Nico Hulkenberg scratching their heads, ...

Formula 1’s Latest Rumours, Talk: Nico Rosberg, Ferrari’s Frustration and More

Nico Rosberg may have a 36-point lead over Lewis Hamilton after his victory in Sunday's Chinese Grand Prix, but the German is all too aware of how quickly things can change in Formula One. It was not too long ago, remember, that Rosberg held a 29-point advantage over his Mercedes team-mate with six races remaining, only to end up losing the world championship by a margin of 67 points as Hamilton finished 2014 with a flourish. And while Rosberg has extracted maximum points from the opening three races of the 2016 season, and extended his career-best winning streak to six, he has acknowledged Hamilton remains a very dangerous threat. With Hamilton forced to start from the back of the grid, Ferrari had hoped to threaten Rosberg in Shanghai, bu...

Kyle Busch Comments on Struggles at Bristol Motor Speedway After Track Changes

Kyle Busch has had plenty of success at Bristol Motor Speedway, with five career victories on the track, but he hasn't won there since 2011. He had another tough day on the course Sunday, as he finished only 258 of the 500 laps. According to Bob Pockrass of ESPN.com, Busch has been unhappy with the track since some banking was removed in 2012. "This track has sucked for me ever since the grinding," he said. "I'm about sick and tired of coming here since it sucks to race." Pockrass explained how drivers try to find success at the track now: "Drivers tend to hug the upper lane because the tire rubber in the upper lane creates more grip, giving the track mainly one preferred line." Busch hasn't been able to adjust. After melting a ti...
