NASCAR at Richmond 2016: Complete Race Order After Qualifying Canceled

Kevin Harvick is officially the pole-sitter for Sunday's Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond International Raceway, but his route to the coveted spot was anything but conventional.   After rain threw NASCAR's qualifying schedule for a loop, the first position in Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race was handed to Harvick thanks to his stellar performance in the morning's early practice.  According to NASCAR.com's Reid Spencer, Harvick clocked in the fastest time among practice participants at 129.069, and he will now start in the first position in Row 1 alongside Joey Logano. NASCAR to Evaluate Lug-Nut Rules After Criticism from Drivers

NASCAR officials will be looking at lug-nut rules in hopes of increasing driver safety. Scott Miller, NASCAR's senior vice president of competition, announced Friday the organization will look at going back to a rule that forced teams to tighten five lug nuts on each wheel at pit stops until 2015. “Until this point, we’ve never really had too much trouble,” Miller said, per Tom Jensen of Fox Sports. Unequal Formula 1 Prize Money Distribution Continues to Hurt Smaller Teams

Formula One brought in nearly $2 billion in 2015, yet unequal revenue distribution is still threatening the future of some teams. Despite finishing second in the constructors' championship last year, Ferrari will receive $21 million more in prize money than any other team this year, according to Autosport's Dieter Rencken and Lawrence Barretto. More than half of Ferrari's $192 million payout comes in the form of various bonuses, though, rather than for their 2015 performance. Meanwhile, Sauber's financial problems meant their 2016 car was not ready for the first pre-season test and the team has been late paying their staff. "If you try to explain to people out there the kind of income the sport generates—and it has, year by year,...
