Has the 2016 Formula 1 Season Been Too Predictable?

The Russian Grand Prix was the fourth race of the 2016 Formula One season, and Nico Rosberg has won them all. With nearly one-fifth of the season now in the rearview mirror—and despite Rosberg's apparent dominance—there is a surprising lack of clarity at the top of the standings. It seems the only thing we know about this championship is that we still don't really know anything. Rosberg has driven well and is now on a seven-race winning streak, dating back to last year, but he has not really been challenged yet. His Mercedes team-mate, Lewis Hamilton, the preseason title favourite, has had nothing but bad luck and an unreliable car. He now trails Rosberg by 43 points.  Meanwhile, Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel were widely exp...

NASCAR at Kansas 2016: Winners and Losers from the Go Bowling 400

It could be that when we look back at the Go Bowling 400 at Kansas Speedway that we see a race of missed opportunity. Kyle Busch won the race, his third of the season, but it was Martin Truex Jr. who decidedly lost this race. He led 172 laps, but a mishap on pit road ended any chance he had at cementing the win. Many other drivers had fast cars that either ended up in the garage or inexplicably tracked to the back of the field. In the end, Joe Gibbs Racing won its sixth race of the season and shows no signs of slowing down (though Denny Hamlin may want to slow down a little bit). Let's carry on for this week’s winners and losers.Begin Slideshow...

NASCAR at Kansas 2016 Results: Winner, Standings, Highlights and Reaction

Kyle Busch took advantage of some timely cautions and a sloppy pit stop by former leader Martin Truex Jr. to win the GoBowling 400 on Saturday at Kansas Speedway. Fox Sports and NASCAR congratulated the Las Vegas native after his victory: Busch's win will be in the record books, but that was not the story of the night. Truex, who was the pole-sitter for the first time in four years, led for 172 laps, but his right-front tire came loose on Lap 211, which forced him to go to pit road. By the time his pit crew got his car ready, Truex had fallen behind by a lap. Busch, who seized the lead on Lap 231, led for 69 laps before securing the win. Kevin Harvick finished second, while Kurt Busch came in third. Ryan McGee of ESPN.com took note of Kyl...

Red Bull Are Right to Replace Daniil Kvyat with Toro Rosso’s Max Verstappen

To Daniil Kvyat, delirious after claiming the second podium finish of his Formula One career in the Chinese Grand Prix, it was only an innocent question. Wiping his face as race winner Nico Rosberg and Sebastian Vettel—who had salvaged second place following an opening-lap collision with Ferrari team-mate Kimi Raikkonen—stood to his left, the Red Bull driver attempted to pierce the testosterone-filled silence with a little chitchat ahead of the podium ceremony. "What happened at the start?" Kvyat chirped, as heard over the FOM television feed. "You! Asking what happened at the start! If I don't go to the left, you crash into us and we all three go out!" shouted an animated Vettel, referring to Kvyat's opportunistic overtaking m...
