NASCAR at Dover 2016: Winners and Losers from the AAA Drive for Autism 400

Toward the end of the AAA 400 Drive for Autism at Dover International Speedway, FS1 NASCAR analyst Jeff Gordon said during the broadcast, “Matt Kenseth has had a tough year, and he’s right up there. He can win this race. Don’t count out Kyle Larson. He’s right there from the second row.” Is he the oracle? Kenseth carried his No. 20 car to Victory Lane for the first time of the season and the first time in 17 races. He did it while holding off a rabid Larson, who drove with the quiet desperation of a driver still looking for his first win. The effort ranked as Larson’s best in his young career (and I’m not talking about the second-place finish; I mean the overall performance from beginning to end.) T...

Every time Larson had a window, Kenseth did just enough to deny the No. 42 car. FS1 provided a replay of the race's final laps: Below are the top 10 finishers: Here's a look at the standings in the Chase for the Sprint Cup following Sunday's race: NASCAR shared Kenseth's post-race celebration in Victory Lane: In terms of drama, fans couldn't have asked much more from the race. Max Verstappen Living Up to Ayrton Senna Comparisons with Spanish Grand Prix Win

In the 1990s, there were 10 first-time Formula One grand prix winners. In the 2000s, there were 14. This decade, at least until Sunday, there had only been three: Nico Rosberg, Pastor Maldonado and Daniel Ricciardo. Red Bull and Mercedes (and, more specifically, Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton) have largely dominated the 2010s, leaving precious little room for newcomers to break into the exclusive club of grand prix winners, which numbers only 106 over the the 66-year history of F1. But at the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday, 18-year-old Max Verstappen did just that, also setting the record as the youngest race winner in the sport's history. Yes, it took a double-retirement from the championship-leading Mercedes team to set up Ve...

NASCAR at Dover 2016: Live Results from the AAA 400 Drive for Autism

Matt Kenseth held off both Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott over a furious final 46 laps to capture the checkered flag in Sunday afternoon's wild AAA 400 Drive for Autism at Dover International Speedway. Kenseth led 48 laps on the afternoon and had to use all the tricks in the book to keep Larson, who led 85 laps and seemed to have the faster car, from earning his first trip to Victory Lane in the Sprint Cup Series. A stunning wreck on a Lap 357 restart opened the door for several cars that hadn't yet tasted victory this season to compete for the win at the Monster Mile. Jimmie Johnson led the field in the outside lane at the green flag, but his car wouldn't to shift into third gear resulting in an accordion-style pileup behind him that collec...

However, the main talking point from Catalonia came in the early stages, as Hamilton, overtaken by Rosberg on the opening lap, darted onto the grass, lost control of his car and collided with his team-mate. Here are the results from the race and a closer look at how things panned out in a gripping grand prix: Here's a run through the current constructors' standings: Having taken pole position with a brilliant performan...

Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg Crash on Lap 1 of 2016 Spanish Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg crashed out of the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday, after the former collided with the latter on Lap 1. Hamilton, who began the race in pole position, was overtaken by his Mercedes team-mate going into the opening corner. Then, trying to win his place back later in the lap, the world champion found himself edged onto the grass, before losing control of his car and spinning into Rosberg. Here's the footage of the incident, per F1 journalist Gianlu D'Alessandro: The Formula One Twitter feed provided us with some snaps of the smash: As is often the case in these incidents, plenty were trying to determine which driver was at fault. F1 journalist Chris Medland thinks both drivers could ultimately be considered...

Max Verstappen-Daniel Ricciardo Partnership Can Become Red Bull’s Driving Force

Perhaps the biggest compliment you could pay Max Verstappen is that, for two-thirds of qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix, he made the best driver in Formula One look average. Over the opening four races of the 2016 season, Daniel Ricciardo had established himself as the outstanding performer on the grid, recapturing the understated speed and consistent class of his breakthrough year in 2014. As he told MotorSport.com's Pablo Elizalde during winter testing, he entered his third season as a Red Bull driver reluctant to get his "hopes up with anything," but the sheer level of his performances had returned the belief, the momentum and the magic to a team recovering from its first winless campaign in seven years. Fourth in Australia wa...

NASCAR at Dover 2016: Start Time, Ticket Info, Lineup, TV Schedule and More

Kyle Busch sits second behind Kevin Harvick in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series going into Sunday's AAA 400 Drive for Autism at Dover International Speedway. Busch led 69 laps last week in Kansas City after starting sixth, stealing a victory to nab checkered flag No. 3 on the season. He now has more wins than any driver, with three names tied at two apiece. Another win by one of the usual suspects makes Sunday's event more interesting than usual, as those without an automatic bid into the Chase begin to feel more and more pressure by the week. With so many major names without a spot in the Chase and a critical summer stretch inbound, the event at Dover couldn't be more important. Here's everything to know.   Viewing Details Where: Dover In...

Spanish Grand Prix 2016 Qualifying: Saturday’s F1 Results, Times, Final Grid

Lewis Hamilton took pole position in emphatic fashion at the Spanish Grand Prix on Saturday, as his lap of one minute, 22.000 seconds was enough to pip Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg by three-tenths. Max Verstappen came perilously close to being the youngest driver ever to take to the front row of a grand prix, but he was just edged out by fellow Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo, who will start Sunday’s race in third. Meanwhile, Ferrari’s mission to claw back ground in the constructor’s charts took a dent, as Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen could only come home fifth and sixth, respectively. Here’s a look at the full standings after a thrilling qualifying session, via Formula 1:   Qualifying Recap Rosberg...
