Vitor Meira Talks Triathalon, IndyCar In Recent Q and A With Bleacher Report

Vitor Meira burst onto the IZOD IndyCar Series scene in 2002 with Team Menard Racing, quickly showing his speed with a pole position and podium appearance in just his fourth race. Since then, Meira has been a staple of the series and a fan favorite. The Brazilian native finished runner-up in the 2005 and 2008 Indianapolis 500, and has garnered sixteen total podiums in his career. Meira joined AJ Foyt Racing in 2009, but a horrific crash in turn one late in the 2009 Indianapolis 500 resulted in a broken back and cost Meira the rest of the 2009 season.  Meira began training to return with a strict regime of running, swimming, and biking.  That hard work paid off when Vitor fought hard to a third place finish in the inaugur...
