Panther Racing Announces 2012 Chevy Engine Committment

According to Indycar.com, Panther Racing announced that they will use Chevrolet engines starting next season.  Panther joins Team Penske, Andretti Autosport and KV Racing for teams using Chevrolet engines in 2012.Panther started using Chevrolet engines in 1999 and got their first win that season with Scott Goodyear.  Panther teams also won two league championships with Sam Hornish Jr. in the early 2000s before the switch to Honda.Panther has flirted with the option of bringing out two full-time teams next season.  As of now, it will just be current rookie and Indianapolis 500 runner-up J.R.
