NASCAR: Joe Gibbs Racing Engine Room Suffers Minor Damage After Fire

Early Friday morning, firefighters were brought out to the Joe Gibbs Racing shop after fire broke out in one of the team's two engine dynamometers, a machine used to gauge the engine horsepower and durability. In a statement released by the team's spokesperson, it was mentioned that the fire was not caused by an explosion, but more so a "flash-fire." The fire was extinguished by the local Huntersville (NC) Fire Department, and it was quickly contained and under control in less than an hour.  The fire, which started around 9 a.m. ET, began in the team's engine room; the cause is still under investigation.
