NASCAR: Is Infineon the Best Track for Father’s Day?

NASCAR was born and bred in North Carolina. The majority of NASCAR drivers live and were raised in North Carolina. Many NASCAR drivers are fathers, with some being new fathers, such as Elliott Sadler, Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, and Max Papis. Some of them are expecting, such as defending champion Jimmie Johnson, teammate Jeff Gordon, and fellow driver Juan Pablo Montoya. You’re probably wondering what my point is. Well, this weekend’s race was at the Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif. Sonoma is some 2,200 miles from the central NASCAR area of North Carolina. If you were a father of a small or even grown child, would you want them to have to travel with you 2,200 miles just to celebrate Father’s Day? I would think no...
