Mercedes Car Launch: F1 Giants Release Images and Details of New W05

It's been quite a week if you're a fan of shiny new Formula One cars, and as we reach the official winter testing period Mercedes-Benz has become the latest team to reveal its creation in the shape of the W05. The company unleashed its newest baby to the world on Twitter: Designed in Brackley and Brixworth, England, this is the "first all-new Silver Arrow to hit the track since 1954," per the official Mercedes F1 website. Initial talks surrounding the latest car date back to 2010, when designers began to harness ideas of how to best utilise the ever-evolving technology of F1, such as the 1.6-litre V6 Hybrid Power Unit, which replaces the 2.4-litre V8's of old, per Andrew Benson of BBC Sport.
