Jimmie Johnson Wins Michigan Happy Hour, Crashes Primary Car

Jimmie Johnson had an eventful Saturday at Michigan International Speedway. The day started off with promise. He posted the third-fastest speed in the first of two practice sessions. Then, in Happy Hour, he turned the fastest lap during the 55-minute practice. Moments after turning the quick lap, disaster struck, according to Kenny Bruce of NASCAR.com (h/t Yahoo! Sports). Entering Turn 3, Johnson's car got loose, and he slammed into the outside wall.  The damage was significant, and the team was forced to bring out the backup car. Johnson, who qualified third for Sunday's Pure Michigan 400, will now have to start the race from the back of the field as a result of the crash.
