Lewis Hamilton won a rain-interrupted Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka on Sunday morning—the Mercedes drivers' first-ever triumph at the circuit and his third in a row this season—but the Briton’s victory was overshadowed by a serious head injury suffered by Marussia driver Jules Bianchi. The race was finally brought to a halt for the second and last time on Lap 44 after the Frenchman’s car had aquaplaned off the track and collided with a vehicle that was trying to remove Adrian Sutil’s Sauber after the German had also spun off on the previous lap.
