Indy Car: Sam Schmidt Motorsports/Rahal-Lanigan Racing Join Forces Once Again

Sam Schmidt Motorsports and Rahal/Lanigan Racing merged once again to field a car for Jay Howard, according to autosport.com.  The two teams previously merged last month for the Indianapolis 500 and fielded a car for Howard.This time they will field a car for next weekend's race in Texas.  Howard, who finished 30th in his debut at Indy, will drive the #88 Service Central Honda, once again.  His only other start at Texas came last year for Sarah Fisher Racing, and he finished a disappointing 26th.Future races are in the works for both teams and Howard, but none outside of next weekend's duels at Texas are confirmed yet.Read more Motorsports news on BleacherReport.com...
