Indianapolis 500 action is set to kick off after qualifying runs yesterday, with all 33 cars raring to go. It was a wild day yesterday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with rain delays and technical difficulties aplenty. Alex Tagliani of Sam Schmidt Motorsports was the pole winner. It was an odd day for Andretti Autosport, however. Three team members, including Danica Patrick and Marco Andretti, qualified, but the feeling was bittersweet. Andretti actually bumped teammate Ryan Hunter-Reay out of the Indy 500. Patrick overcame two rain delays and technical issues to finally qualify about an hour before the 6 p.m. deadline.
