Front Row Motorsports Penalized 150 Driver and Owner Points After Pocono

NASCAR has released penalties from the Sprint Cup Series race at Pocono on June 6th, and for Front Row Motorsports, it is not pretty. Driver Travis Kvapil has been fined 150 driver points and owner Doug Yates has been fined 150 driver points.  This will knock the No. 38 Ford out of the Top 35 in owner points. It was discovered in the early parts of the Pocono race that the tires on the No. 38 car were equipped with bleeder valves. These illegal valves allow air pressure buildup to be released, helping the tires to retain more grip over the course of a fuel run. Additionally, crew chief Steve Lane has been fined $100,000 and, along with the car chief and tire specialist, suspended for 12 races.Read more Motorsports news on BleacherRepor...
