Daytona 500: Busch, Burton Win Duels, Now Among Favorites For The 500

Kurt Busch and Jeff Burton each won their respective Duel races Thursday afternoon, and neither one of them was a fluke victor. Both drivers have been very strong all throughout Speedweeks, and now have to be considered two of the favorites to win the Daytona 500 on Sunday. Busch scored his first ever win at Daytona last Saturday in the running of the Bud Shootout. He then went out and posted the 11th fastest time in qualifying before going out and winning Thursdays first Duel. Burton finished eighth in Saturday's Bud Shootout, but was the dominant car for the first two thirds of the event. He led 32 of the 75 laps run that evening.
