Danica Patrick’s Crew Chief Fined and Placed on Probation by NASCAR

Tony Eury Jr., crew chief for No.7 driven by Danica Patrick, in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, was fined and placed on probation. The car is owned by JR Motorsports. NASCAR announced in an official press release that the No. 7 team was being penalized for rule infractions at Phoenix International Raceway during the Nationwide race. Patrick's car was in violation of: Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing), 12-4-J (the race equipment used in the event does not conform to NASCAR rules); and 20A-2.3A (improperly attached weight) of the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series rule book.
