After a wild and intense race in Talladega, AL, Jamie McMurray picked up his third career win and Jimmie Johnson all but locked up his fourth straight championship. Johnson brought home a sixth place finish after running in the back of the pack most of the day. His nearest competitors all finished behind him allowing Johnson to expand his point lead to 184 with three races remaining.
