BREAKING NEWS: Addington Gone As Kyle’s Crew Chief

Sirius Satellite Radio has reported that Joe Gibbs Racing has announced that Steve Addington has stepped down as crew chief of the No. 18 Toyota, effective after Talladega this weekend. This move, like most moves at JGR was one of the worst kept secrets in the garage area. It comes as no surprise as Kyle Busch's performance has gone way down over the second half of the 2009 season. Nationwide Series crew chief, Dave Rogers, will replace Addington on the pit box of the No. 18 for the remainder of 2009, and for all of 2010. This was a move I thought should have happened a lot sooner, after the struggles of the 18 car in the chase in 2008.
