Awesome Bill’s Son Chase Elliott Wins GAS Championship and Rookie Honors

Chase Elliott, 13-year-old son of "Awesome Bill from Dawsonville," is following in his father's championship footsteps.  The young driver was named the Georgia Asphalt Series (GAS) Champion, as well of Rookie of the Year in that series. Elliott, with two wins and nine top-ten finishes in nine series starts, finished the season just five points ahead of Casey Roderick, his Bill Elliott Racing teammate.  This is Elliott's first Late Model title.
