Venturini Motorsports Takes Cosmetic Crew Chief and Klotz Engine Mechanic Awards

Continuing with our theme of awards from yesterday, Patrick Sheltra wasn't the only picking up awards from the 2010 season. Venturini Motorsports picked up a pair of awards—the Cosmetic Crew Chief of the Year and Klotz Engine Mechanic of the Year.   Cosmetic Crew Chief of the Year Award Kevin Reed, crew chief of the No. 25 Venturini Motorsports entry, was awarded $3,000 after finishing the year with 6,380 points. The award takes into consideration how the team qualifies and also how they race. The crew chief with the fastest-qualifying car earns 200 points, with descending positions earning five fewer points per position. The same scoring system is then also used for the race finishes.
