Jimmie Johnson Continues Championship Run After the Birth of “Baby J”

Chandra and Jimmie Johnson gave birth to a baby girl Wednesday, July 7th at 1:44 p.m. ET in Charlotte, NC. Johnson who gave her the nickname "Baby J" until they decide on a name for her, weighed 6 lbs., 14 oz. and measured 19.5" long. Johnson said that even though sleep was at a minimum last night, he is extremely happy about getting to spend time with his girls before leaving for the race weekend in Chicago. With the newest addition to his family, the four-time champion can once again put his focus on adding another track to his win list. “It's nice to cross off these tracks; tracks I haven't won at,” said NASCAR’s newest father.
