Marc Marquez Takes Pole Position for Aragon Grand Prix

Marc Marquez took pole position for the Aragon Grand Prix at MotorLand. The Championship leader posted a fastest lap of 1:47.804 which was one hundredth of a second quicker than compatriot and defending Moto GP champion Jorge Lorenzo. Yamaha rider Lorenzo has recorded wins in the last two races at Misano and Silverstone but is 34 points behind young pretender Marquez. Lorenzo is level on points with Honda rider Dani Pedrosa, who completes the front row after setting a time of 1:47.957.
